I embossed on them too. This worked well with a small/medium size stamp that you can sort of roll along the shape of the pot. I think an embossing pen would work real well with this too. I used top boss and black ep for most of what I did. It was at Halloween and I was doing some for decorations for my daughters birthday party. The Carol Duvall show today had a brief spot on decorating clay pots and one she showed had stamped letters on it, looked cute!! Have FUN!! For those who don't know about this: Any pkgs. sent through USPS weighing over 16 oz. HAVE to go through the PO and a clerk has to take care of this. I put regular postage on some wall paper paks in the priority pkg. and they came back to me with a green label telling about this. One of the clerks had told me I could use regular postage since the PO isn't open all the time. With the desk not open on the holiday and Sun. I just bought stamps and did my thing with them. DON'T do your thing if you need something to be somewhere fast. To those who ordered the papers they are now as I don't know if more will come back to me tomorrow. My apologies. I griped at the Post Master about this and he came and picked up the packages, personally, as I couldn't get away before the PO closed today to get these mailed. Include an ADDRESS LABEL (SAML) for me to use to return the cards. **Send $1.00 for mailing the cards back** DON'T COLOR. Use WHITE - can be glossy or matte. Stamp in black ink that won't smear if colored with markers, or you can emboss. If you want to do different images on the cards instead of all the same, that is fine. Please include stamp credits. Put your name and e-mail addy on the back of each card. All cards must be postmarked by the last day of each month. Stamp things that will be EASY to cut out. Bad week! Thanks for being the BEST- I really do appreciate you. Janet - - ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Jan 1998 07:47:55 -0600 From: ~ lupie ~ Subject: RubberTown: COMM: Peddlar's Pack Deadline Well we easily made the opening order for this company (thanks everyone!) so the plan now is that I will take orders until Monday morning and then fax it in. So I will offer the 40% off until that time. I have also found out from a vendor friend that I can't get catalogs from this company to sell to you guys. So your best bet is either to go to their website to see the stamps, order a catalog from them or check your RS magazines 'cause they always have full page ads. I'll contact everybody that's ordered either on my lunch hour or this evening and let you know totals and mailing instructions. Thanks all! =) - -- ~ lupie ~ (aka elizabeth herman) http://www.flash.net/~eherman ~~~Philippians 4:13~~~ Christian Theme Swap due Feb. 16th - - ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 22 Jan 1998 09:28:59 From: "Brenda J. I am sure that as soon as she is able, she will be getting everything out. I am in her Christmas card swap and haven't received them back yet. I am not worried, they will be good inspiration for next Christmas. Brenda At 10:55 PM 1/21/98 +0000, Michele/Kevin McNamara wrote: >Hi there, >I have not received mine yet as well. Since I*ve mentioned the list numerous times in my stamp = club, she asked me to post her idea here in case there are members who are = interested. Teresa*s plan is to teach monthly classes for two groups of stampers. One = group would hold afternoon sessions, the other group would get together in = the evening. The class content would depend on the experience levels of = the attendees (she welcomes beginners through advanced stampers). This = kind of organization sounds like a stamp club to me but Teresa thinks of = the groups less formally. She says that it*s just groups of stampers = attending regular classes together. No card trading or secret stampers = unless the individuals become interested in doing that. She was willing to = call her plan a *club with a workshop format*. Each *class* would cost = =2415.00 and meet once a month. You*ll walk away with two to three = finished projects and lots of ideas for more. Teresa*s parents owned the rs store, Stampa Dream, which operated out of = Oswego, Illinois. They recently retired and sold their store to the owners = of Radiant Reflections in nearby Sugar Grove. Radiant Reflections moved = into the Oswego storefront and combined both enterprises into the new = Luella Lishnish*s Luscious Little Stamps. Teresa taught rs classes = frequently at Stampa Dream. She*s been stamping for about six years--had = to learn when her folks bought the store=21-- and teaching stamp classes = for about five. Her teaching style is very hands-on and she enjoys helping = people who are unfamilar with the different art medias learn how they can = use them in stamping with very professional results. At any rate, I took one of Teresa*s last classes at the former Stampa = Dream and joined her newly formed stamp club this past September. My club = (Teresa*s involved in three) is all newbies and we also have a workshop = format. Teresa*s taught us shutter card construction, paper layering, = vellum techniques, shrink plastic, and envelope making so far. We*re a = small club (7) and we have a blast. Teresa also teaches classes for such = techniques as collage, coffee filter books, water staining, stampscapes, = brayers & backgrounds, water colors/pastels, the list goes on and on. She = constantly takes advantage of classes offered locally and shares her = knowledge at her clubs and classes. Teresa*s enthusiasm is very contagious.= She provides a friendly place to experiment, learn, and succeed. If anyone from the Chicago suburbs is interested in more information, = please email me privately and I*ll put you directly in touch with Teresa.
