This is the cheapest I have ever seen it. They had a good range of colors: black, white, tan, red, dark green, and a pretty yellow/gold. The rolls are 1 foot wide by 5 feet long. I have been wanting to get some ever since I read the article "Stamping with Shelf Liner" in the last Somerset Studio, so I was tickled to get it on sale!! Taking my main image then a layer of mulberry paper in a coordinating color. Then a paper layer- can be paper ribbon, tissue paper, brayered paper, etc. Then the card in a contrasting color. Lastly I put in a phrase stamp inside to take up room so I don't have to write too much. Another favorite quickie card. I have TH/RA big stamps of victorian women. Okay, here's the premise. You're being kidnapped to a tropical island and can only take along three gadgets to aid you in your stamping. You're allowed to keep all your stamps, ink pads, paper and cardstock, coloring tools (such as markers, colored pencils etc) and a pair of scissors. EVERYTHING else is taken away...except you are allowed to keep three (and ONLY three) additional items. What would you keep? I'm looking for those special gadgets, accessories, tools, etc. that you reach for again and again and use in nearly all your stamping creations. I think it'd be interesting to see what different stampers hold dear. Anyone else game? I'll start it off: 1. Deckle-edge scissors 2. Victorian corner rounder 3. Fiskar's Personal Paper Trimmer Those are the three I just can't do without! And I'd love to hear from others what their favorites are. :) Lisa Mallette euphoria@gru.net - - - - ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Jan 1998 21:54:32 -0600 From: kayelynne@juno.com (Kaye Lynne Ingold) Subject: Re: RubberTown: New Topic: Don't take away my... 1-Fiskars Personal Paper Trimmer- I can't cut a straight line to save my life and I have to cut my paper! 2-Brayer- I use it to fuse the layers of my cards together for a tight bond and I like to make strange backgrounds 3-My Stamping Glass- I love to stamp on a hard surface! I know that I have had problems with e-mail not always reaching their intended recepient and peoples messages not always getting to me. I second Fran's thought that you should always put the vendors name in the subject line to help catch attention. I sometimes get messages from people saying that they've been writing me messages and why haven't I written back? And these messages will be the first time I've seen a note. So, I feel we all need to remember that e-mail is not 100%. And, I'm sure I'm not the only one who sometimes has their computer crash and loses all messages. I know that the vendors on these lists work hard to keep our customers happy and to get products out as quickly as possible. Just my .02 worth.....
