I forgot to mention - NO wallpaper!  Yikes, can't believe I forgot that one.
Holographics, paste papers are fine to send in!  What does everyone think
about embossed foils?  I don't see any problem with it.  I'll leave it up

I called and talked to someone at Judi-kins and they were THE nicest, most
customer service oriented people I EVER talked to.  No ifs, ands or
buts....they just fixed the (small) problem I had with my purchase!

I WILL be buying from them again and again and again.  And YES Melissa...I do
love their stamps!  I want them all, but you know how that goes.... <sigh>

Boy, you are an effecient and organized Triber!  Only the 4th and my Feb.
package is here and what a nice package it is.  I have really enjoyed my
round as your Tribe Buddy; three months goes by so very quickly, doesn't it?  

Hmm, from the looks of this package, you just might be a seamstress.  Nice
fabric scraps snuggle around my packages, one of which is for my three older
children.  Since they aren't here... but I am... and I'm overly curious, can
I open it for them?  I'll resist the impulse, but just barely, you know!

There's a beautifully decopauged heart box.  Did you make this, Tribe buddy?
Oh, peppermints and floss cards!  You know, I haven't been able to cross
stich in SO LONG!  I love doing it, as do my two girls, but it seems that in
this household, I'm destined to only have enough spare minutes for one
pleasurable activity at a time.  So, hee, I've been using my flosses for
embellishment and stringing beads onto stamped images!   

What a nice way to present my unmounteds!  Three hand made envies, made out
of lovely paper, I must add, each housing a selection of unmounted images.
In the first, Toad Hall images:  Commerce-free mail art, 2 different styles
of arms/hands, and a coffin.  Love that coffin!  
The second holds Non-Sequitur's segmented beastie and Thumbelina on a lily
pad along with Toad Hall's (is this right?) two dancing ladies and Melanie
and Todd in Vegas.  Inside the third envelope I find Belva Lockwood, time
flies, blender toad, and "Egad, a naked envelope!"  Thank for so many
images, Tribe Buddy.  Oh, after this weekend's convention and this package,
I'm so far behind in my mounting I may never find my way out of the stack of
rubber!  :)  Course, there isn't anything else I'd rather be buried under!
I truly do love the smell of rubber :)  Hmm, maybe it's an addictive odor,
causing us to madly acquire more and more rubber to feed our habit.  Yes,
that's what it must be!  No other explanation for the rubber feeding
frenzy/hunger/lust which overcomes us!  

Triber, on the back of the postcard you sent, it says:  made by DLMarler.
So, fess up... are you Ms. Marler?  Just wondering!

     1.  Please do not post TANs, they are NOT allowed.  Only rubberstamp
related discussions are allowed including swaps, secret stampers, etc. 
Just
remember to think twice before sending a message to the entire list when 
it
might be better suited to go to just one person.  (eg. thank you's, me
too's, etc.)

     2. Please refrain from cross posting to the Rubberstampers Mailing
List using CC.  If you have to send your message to both lists, please 
send
two separate messages.  People replying to cross postings end up replying
to both lists and it just gets very messy with messages with multiple
RubberTown & RS headings.

     Thanks to those giving me feedback and keeping me up on what's
happening on the list, even though a lot of times I don't reply.  Please
keep the feedback coming.

1.  What is the RubberTown Mailing List?

The purpose of the mailing list is to provide a forum for people around 
the
world to discuss rubber stamping.  It is a forum for swaps, techniques,
mail art and anything related to rubber stamping.  Vendors can also feel
free to sell on the list but please clearly state in the subject line that
it is a COMMercial post.  This list will be strictly for rubber stamping.
No tangent or non-stamping subjects will be allowed.


2.  Is the RubberTown Mailing List in competition with the Rubberstampers
Mailing List?

I created the list due to an overwhelming amount of requests from stampers
unhappy with the Rubberstampers Mailing List's volume and it was not meant
to be competition.  It is simply an alternative for those unable to deal
with the mass amounts of off subject mail that the other list has.  I am a
member of the other list (although a bit of a lurker) and will continue to
be a member because of the great amount of stamping information I have
gotten from it.  I am sure there will be others as well who will subscribe
to both lists.  I also run the digest version and the archive of the
Rubberstampers Mailing List so I would like both to succeed.


3.  How do I subscribe & unsubscribe?

To subscribe send an e-mail to:

   majordomo@xmission.com

Leave the subject line blank and put in the body:

   subscribe rubbertown (your e-mail address)

So for me it would look like:

   subscribe rubbertown jmabunga@xmission.com

You will then be e-mailed a confirmation number which you must then send
back (full instructions are included in the e-mail).  This assures 
spammers

Remember, stamping related messages ONLY.  If you notice someone is
breaking this rule please let me know as I won't be able to read every
message.  Use direct e-mail for non-stamping subjects and take the list
address out of the reply field.  Also when replying please edit the
"included" message.


5.  Is there a digest version available?

Yes there is.  For those who don't know, when receiving the digest version
of the list, messages are collected from the list and a digest is sent out
when the digest size reaches approximately 40K.  Each digest is numbered
and includes a table of contents so you can easily see if there is a
message worth scrolling down to see.

Remember when replying from a digest to edit what is included, don't
include the entire 40k digest.


6.  How do I subscribe and unsubscribe to the digest version?

Subscribing and unsubscribing to the digest is almost the same as the
regular list except you change the "rubbertown" to "rubbertown-digest"

To subscribe send an e-mail to:

   majordomo@xmission.com

Leave the subject line blank and put in the body:

   subscribe rubbertown-digest (your e-mail address)

So for me it would look like:

Hi,

First I would like to tell "Lupie" thank you for the great job you did
hosting.  Second, I would like to say how sorry I am for waiting so long
to post these.  My computer hard drive crashed and left me high and dry
for a week or more.  I also share the computer with my children and
husband, so I had to take care of all the Rubbertown mail I had received
for that time period.  So, without further ado:

I received 5 beautiful bookmarks, of those I only had a full name and
address on it.  So, if you don't see your name, it's because I don't
know who you are.

I received a bookmark made out of yellow cardstock with a white piece of
cardstock overlapping it.  The white piece of cardstock has been cut
with Fiskars scissors giving it a torn appearance.  On the white
cardstock is a grouping of sunflowers embossed in gold and colored
yellow.  A white ribbon has been attached.  On the back is a stamped
picture of Pooh and it says Hand Stamped with Love.  There was no name
or address for this one.  A beautiful bookmark it is though.

Also there was a white bookmark with roses stamped on it.  Two of the
three roses are stamped in black and are smaller than the third one.
The main rose has been embossed in clear, the petals and stem colored
green and the rose itself looks as though they used a red gallery glass
on it.  Very pretty.  Also, no name or address.

The third bookmark is bright blue with a piece of yellow cardstock
layered over it.  The yellow cardstock has been trimmed  using Fiskars
scissors.  On the yellow cardstock she has stamped duckies wearing
boots, she has stamped a background of dots in blue.  The ducks beaks
have been colored orange, their ribbon blue and their boots brown.  It
looks like she might have used pencils on it.  Very cute.  I think my
girlfriend is going to try to talk me out of this one.  We will see.  On
the back she has stamped, "Hand stamped by Diana."  No last name or
address.

The fourth bookmark has been laminated.  She has stamped on a small
square of white cardstock and has stamped a sun and moon using a blue
ink.  She has also sponged in a yellow gold ink over the card.  This was
made by Heather Reilly.  You did a great job.

Last, I received two bookmarks done with a light house theme.  She made
a holder for the bookmarks, on the front of the holder is a picture of a
lighthouse with a seagull flying over.  The picture has been done using
dry embossing, making the picture look raised.  The lighthouse has been
colored blue and has yellow windows, the rooks underneath it look violet
and blue, the seagull is green.  Very beautiful.  I can't tell what she
used to color it with.  Inside were two bookmarks done with the same
stencil.  One has the lighthouse colored green and in the other it is
colored red.  Both lighthouses have yellow windows.  The rocks under the
green lighthouse has green and violet in them, the rocks of the red
lighthouse has red and violet on them.  Both of the seagulls are
violet.  This is a very beautiful card, unfortunately, the person didn't
sign their name or put an address on it.  Whoever you are, I would love
to hear how you made this one.

Thanks again Lupie for a good job in hosting.  I'm sorry I got impatient
to receive them but the wait was well worth it.
