I had so-ooo much fun unwrapping each goodie.First of all there is a lovely letter from my Tribe Buddy teasing me and enjoying every moment of it.I think you must be a kid at heart...are you?!! Are you one of those grown ups that finds every opportunity to jump on beds too?I have been so spoiled...here are all the wonderful things I received.First of all I had a lovely stack of papers. There were satins, clouds, feather prints, scroll motif, and felts included.Another envelope was jammed with corregated papers and more specialty papers including cloud vellum, crack and peel sticker paper, krinkle gold, pearl frost, and wavy corregated.I also found more postcard papers with the fancy die cut edges. You said I'd find a special gift in the bottom of the box,is it the cool computer that says You've Got Mail?! I loved that, I have never seen one in my area. Wait now, I still have way more...to tell about! The fridge magnet with the verse"I wanted to send you something special, but how in the word do you send a hug?" is so very special to me. I love those wonderful Seashell Treasures shaped chocolates.I have never bought them for myself but have given them as a gift. They are so pretty... it is hard to pop them in your mouth... but Oh-hh Yum...so good! I also found a copy of The Stampers Sampler Feb. March 1998 and another beautiful book called Greeting Cards and Gift Wrap".Also there is a bottle of Scent a Card "Victorian Roses" (which smells heavenly) and a really great cube stamp from Embossing Arts which has a floral pattern, hearts, bubbles, and my favorite,,,butterflies! Finally, there is one more thing too... a beautiful card from my tribe buddy! The card is a dark blue cs with a thin layer of brite white, blue again,a white raised layer, and the image of a beautifully colored wooded cottage scene. The water in the scene is very realistic with the clear ep making it look very reflective. It is LOVELY!Thank You for being so clever and ingenious in sending my packages&correspondence too.Do you really live in Canada???hee hee.You have been a terrific Tribe Buddy. I've decided to make it a little more interesting (and fun!) by having a contest. When all the projects come in, I will have an impartial group of "judges" vote for their favorites. (I won't be a judge myself, this will be completely unbiased.) There will be a first, second and third "purple prize" for the three best purple creations. (Yes, the prizes themselves are PURPLE!) Also wanted to add that you may send 11 for 10 instead of 6 for 5, if you would like to receive a larger selection back. (Postage will be the same; I'll make up any difference.) So get out those purple pens, pencils, pads and paper and whip up something potentially prize-winning! Seems I have confused everyone good this time! Yikes! Let me try this one more time. :) If you have never gotten this from me, then the cost for everything available is $15.00 including shipping. If you have the original 137 pages from the Summer 1996 swap, then the cost is $13.00 including shipping. If you need only the newest updates (section 5) I am working on it. Don't know exactly how many pages, but it will be by the copy instead of a flat rate deal like the others. AND, the shipping cost may be low enough to send by first class instead of priority mail. This week I finally got set up to make my own stamps. I want to thank everyone who has been so wonderful about taking a leap of faith on a new vendor and ordering cardstock grabbags from me. What I would like to offer now is a grabbag of unmounteds of my 1st plate of rubberstamps for $20.00 which includes shipping in the U.S. Add $1.00 shipping for Canada, Germany, Great Britain and Ireland. Add $2.00 shipping for Australia and New Zealand. Let me know if I left anyone out. There are a total of eighteen images that fill a 9" x 13" sheet. There are six large ones, 4 medium, 4 small, 2 word type and 2 tiny ums. The large stamps are all large enough to fill the front of a card. These include a frog on a lily pad, a bridge with a stream running underneath, a mountain scene, 2 hummingbirds with flowers, a beach scene with seashells, and a large basket of flowers. The medium stamps include an Indian girl feeding a bird, a boy bunny shyly giving a girl bunny flowers, a feather (like a writing quill), and a sign that says Honeybees Welcome. The small stamps are a cactus, a begging dog, a chick on an egg with a feather in his hat and a butterfly. The word stamps are Handstamped By: and Good Job! The tiny stamps are a bird in flight (perfect for adding to the sky of your card) and a postoid size frog on a lily pad. I accept checks, money orders and Discover Card. I am working on being able to accept Visa and MasterCard but the paperwork is not finished being processed by the bank. I would love to make a grabbag of ums for you or for your Tribe Buddy. If you have any questions you can e-mail me or feel free to give me a call at 316-364-8744. As an opening business special (which is good through February 28) I would like to offer a grab bag of 75 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock for just $10.00 which includes priority shipping within the United States. Add $3.95 for delivery to Canada, Great Britain and Germany. Add $5.95 for delivery to Australia and New Zealand. (If you have questions about delivery to any other country I would be happy to let you know what the cost would be.) This is truly beautiful cardstock. The grab bag includes four different neutrals (perfect for Easter or Spring cards). Included are white embossed leather, pebblestone, oyster flecks, and cottonwood. All of these are textured or have flecks or specks of a variety of neutral colors throughout the cardstock. These are not plain ho-hum papers - they are all quite beautiful. All are 80 lb. cardstock except the pebblestone which is 65 lb. I know that you will be taking a leap of faith by placing an order with me since I am a new vendor. That is why I am offering such a special price on this paper. All I ask is that you please give me a chance to show you what a wonderful vendor I will be for you. This introductory offer is good through February 28. Remember the grab bags are just $10.00 per 75 sheet grab bag including priority shipping! To order a grab bag (or two!) for yourself or your Tribe Buddy or as a RAK e-mail barbara@kans.com or mail check or money order to: Creative Images 1112 Neosho Burlington KS 66839 I can accept Discover Card and am working on being able to accept Visa and MasterCard but the paperwork is not done being processed at the bank - lots of red tape! For right now I accept checks, money orders or Discover Card. Soon I will have a line of rubber stamps and supplies available (hopefully by March 1st). Thank you in advance to all of you who are taking that leap of faith and placing an order with me. It will be remembered and appreciated. If you have any questions you can e-mail me or feel free to give me a call at 316-364-8744. I've been having a terrible time trying to figure out how to make shaker cards. I know that different people have different methods, and Anna made me the most beautiful card and sent me her directions. She made hers out of a dusty rose cardstock, cut out two hearts and filled them with white doves. She trimmed the card with a beautiful bow and it's so elegant and yet fun! I must say that with the help of some wonderful people here, I'm becoming very comfortable with my stamping and a style is beginning to emerge. I took a class last night at a local rs store on pearl ex and that has opened up a whole new world for me, too. So thanks to Anna and to the rest of you who are great, giving people! ;-) Claudia @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- LadyRose@ix.netcom.com POSTCARD interests: Lighthouses, angels maps, stadiums, kittens and recipes covered bridges, and lightning cards @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- @)-->-->--- Visit my homepage: http://www2.netcom.com/~ladyrose/ - - ------------------------------ End of rubbertown-digest V1 #224 ********************************
