You folks were so creative. I adore these cards. Lisa Riseman (mattjill@ici.net) I received two copies of her lovely purple heart card. It is on glossy liliac which is layered with a deep mauve cs cut with fs w/the jagged edge and then a purple checkered paper heart shape is laryed on that. Then on a purple sheet of paper she embossed in purple ep a bouquet of roses, cut that out and glued it to the center of the heart. around the permienters she glued small purple metalic confetti hearts and one large metallic sticker (?) heart in the bottom right corner, with a bow using two purple ribbons in the left top corner. Robin your card is wonderful!!!! You put a lot of hard work in this card and as a newbie I cannot figure out how you did everything. On dark purple cs she layered a pinkish cs and then a purplish cs and then a pink cs which contains the images. She cut and glued clouds -- which I'm not sure if the paper was this bluish purple, or if she sponged it. The stamp is a scene of mountains and trees and somehow she was able to have the trees on both sides of the image in deep burgandy, the mountains in the forefront and background pink, and the promient mountains a deep lovely purple. What I cannot understand if this is a solid stamp out did she get all these colors on here. Please tell me!!! Now my guess is that she inked the stamp in pink and masked the other areas and applied the other colors, but I'm not sure. On the bottom of the scene in purple it says "For Purple Mountains Majesty" It is lovely. And to top it off she has it in a matching envie. Leesa Schmitt (Llaf@much@aol.com) Using a lite purplish blue cs she stamped "Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails" (Museum of Modern Rubber) all over the front of the card. Then on a small lite blue cs on a strip she stamped a cute puppy (ZIM) three times and layered on the card. On a small square of dark blue she stamped in a light blue ink cute little hearts (MOMR) all over and then using a small piece of the cs used for the card she stamped in blue ink a cute baby in a crawling and grinning pose (Stamp Attack) layered this on the dark blue w/hrts cs and foam taped the square on the face of the card. Inside the greeting says "Blessings to Your Newborn Love. (MOMR). This card is so cute Lisa, you did a great job. Jepeka@aol.com used a stamp that I worked hard to use --- I love it --- it is a heart shape floral bouquet with roses and tulips and lovely ivy. (PSX K-244). First her cs is a light blue which she layered with a sheet of white paper that has little bity blue hearts on it. She then embossed the image of the heart in blue & gold glittery ep on the same cs as the card, adding a bow at the top. Then she tore the cs roughly in the shape of the heart and attached to the background paper with foam tape. It is such a nice use of a stamp I own, so I can't wait to copy your idea. Because believe me I had a hard time trying to use this stamp appropriately, it is too large to use with another image, but too small to be used alone --- you did a great job. The last card was quietly elegant. No name or any info on the back. The cs is brown, with the front flap being cut with fs. There is single pinetree embossed with a agua green and gold ep. Attached on a very small square cut with fs is what looks like a close up of a cut branch from the tree (if it was a photo) which includes a pinecone. It is a very nice card. Also, our hostess, Ms. Bossy (aka Dianne) did a wonderful job of hosting this swap and was very patient with this swapper. Then to top it off she was nice enough to include stickers in my package. thanks everyone elaine - - ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Mar 1998 17:55:21, -0500 From: DTKK03B@prodigy.com (LINDA J FLICKINGER) Subject: RubberTown: Magical mail Ms Hare:) Also, received Ms. Hare's card today. Also, if you're using the brayer as almost a paint brush by rolling it across the ink box's surface, you can apply it as you would a paint roller, or put a stencil over the paper (remember to tape it down) and roll color over the stencil for a beautifully even application. I love the colors used and how she layered different textures - corrugated, mulberry, etc. Both the inside and outside of the card had layered images. Really neat. I especially liked the cactus popped up inside the card. The background was watercolored too for a realistic scenery look. I love the card. She also had a nice personal note to me. Thank you! I unwrapped an Adirondak Rainbow Pad - wildflowers. Great! I tried it with my new Stampin' Up Ornate Ornaments. Fun! Thank you! Next there were some Project sheets - always can use new ideas. Then there was a package of Faith's Little Miracle - I always wondered if this was something I *needed*. I can't wait to try this when I emboss next time. Carol made a book/pin. It is an accordian book, tied shut with ribbon. The front says "From my heart" and the inside has a bible verse. Cool book! This looks like something I can do!. Another package contained a giant pansy in a pot um. Very Pretty. There was a Posh Impressions Memory Frame stamp. This will be great for my scrapbooking (which I'm really behind in). The next package was bigger and had a Stamping Fun Book which looks like it has a lot of great project ideas. Fun! Another big package...contained a Hero Arts catalog. Thank you! And last, but not least was a box of chocolate peanut butter goodies. Yummy, and I don't have to share 'cuz everyone else in the family is allergic to either chocolate or peanuts. Keep in touch! Where we stand right now: Both shipments we received are gone but we are expecting a small shipment in hopefully, today or tomorrow. Half of these are already spoken for, so if you want a set, let me know and I'll put names on them until they're gone. I am having more made as we speak, so if you don't get in on this next small shipment, you'll be in on the next for sure. And we will continue to have these made... this isn't a one shot deal. These templates are here to stay. :}> We're not set up for credit cards, but we accept checks or money orders with a smile. So just email me your order, be sure to specify which set you want and include your mailing address. I'll confirm your order and give you an idea as to when to expect delivery to you. I'm leaving tomorrow afternoon for a camping trip (yeayyyyy!) with friends but will be back Sunday night to answer any email I can't get answered before I leave. And, I'll answer you (that's an Evo Promise) in the order I received your email. By the way... when you receive these templates, they will still have the protective paper adhered onto them. I've found it easiest to loosen the paper at one corner to peel it off to reveal your sparkling, crystal clear template underneath. Hey, thanks for all your interest! Now here's the info... ***EvoTemplates*** 7 Dual Purpose Clear Acrylic Templates... 1/8" thick... geometrically designed to give you perfect layers in 1/4" increments for your 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" cards. If you want it, that is. Just say... "Evo, add a catalog to my order, please!" And it's yours. heh, heh... and a poem for you, if you're still here... I'm going camping, yes, it's true! This weekend is it! "Whoa, Evo, you?" Sooo why are you doing it... (you probably say)? Because... it's Evo's time to relax and play. Was supposed to do it in Sept... way back last fall... Mr Evo reigned supreme... "mis-behaving" and all. Soooo... what is Evo is saying? (You're wondering still?) Is that she will not be available on email this Friday til... Sunday night. Yep, I'm taking a 3 day holiday with 2 dear "old" friends from Atlanta, Ga. Thank you for letting me do this. :}> Wanna know details? Ok... what I will be doing is... sitting around a real live camp fire... shooting the breeze...soaking in the trees... oaks, pines, spanish moss, stars, moon, day, night... and maybe redbugs. Redbugs? (or chiggers... where ever you happen to be located for the lingo) But Hey, the chiggers are worth it because.. rubber stampin is where it's at! And... if it's in the middle of a forest... That's still where it's at. :}> Ellen :}> Evo Evolving Images NEW web page addy! And a chat room for you!
