Evo's acrylic templates make it so fast and easy to get nice, accurate layers; sharp, straight borders, and I used them to solve a monogram problem. I recently bought a couple of unmounted alphabets from Apalachian Arts with a plan to make some monogrammed notecards. I didn't have a clue how I would be able to do this - but that's me - get the idea first and you'll figure out the implementation later. I used Ellen's tiny acrylic templates along with my L-shaped stamp positioner, stamped an initial on each of two tiny templates, then used these images to position my entwined initials on the notecard and made my monogram. It was good to get some time to actually sit down for a minute. Thank you so much for sending this off. I really appreciated it today. The package was full of lots of lovely little goodies, which will be a lot of fun to use. First everything was included in a brown paper carry bag stamped with my favourite Hero Arts stamp the large sunflower. And lovely Best Wishes in gold copper and silver. The bag is beautiful thanks for your effort. Inside the bag was a roll of ribbon (with four colours on it). Lovely country colours, cream burgundy, green and red. I use this ribbon all the time and can never have enough. Next another piece of Pen score Foam, and I must admit that I have not used the last one yet, but promise to have a go. Perhaps in the April school holidays. Then two lovely sheets of stickers. These are just lovely and I have never seen anything like it. They are gold and silver and have lovely script messages and appropriate motifs (best wishes, happy birthday, get well soon, congratulations - hearts, bows, stork, bells butterflies and horse shoe). Will definitely be using these in the near future. Then there was a 1 meter strip of sticker edging?? Not sure what to call this. It has two lovely delicate strips of scalloped edging which can be stuck on to cards etc. It is just lovely, and will be used sparingly - at least until I find out where it comes from. Next a pack of 5 paint brushes - I never have enough of these. The boys are always flogging them off my desk. Thanks so much. Then I got 3 sheet for layering. One of gold corrugated card, 1 of gold card (never seen this either), and a sheet of cork. Can never have enough layering paper. Then a bag of raffia for whatever I like :-). This is an item I also use a lot of, so will certainly not go astray. Finally - no I am not finished yet - There was a little gold bag which was tied with a lovely green ribbon with a gold trim. - Have I missed something did this month have a gold type theme? - anyway back to the bag, inside it was a lovely print blocks stamp which said Just for you - the script writing is just lovely. Thanks again so much. I loved just everything in your wonderful package. Can't wait to find out who you are. Lorrie - - ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Mar 1998 08:00:54 -0500 From: Rose Subject: RubberTown: StampFrancisco stamp Hi everyone, A while back a few people on this list were looking for a specific stamp made by StampFrancisco - a windblown lady with a muff and a cloak with her hood drawn up over her head. I ordered two from a nearby stamp store and recently got them in. One has been sent to the person who ordered it and I have just heard from the other person that she no longer needs it. If anyone is interested, the stamp costs me $9.75 plus .68 tax and I will add on whatever it costs me to ship it to you (no handling!). :-) If anyone wants this stamp, please email me at LadyRose@ix.netcom.com. Helen Carvalho also sent me a really snazzy RAK. The envelope is made from wallpaper (sort of a very 70s pattern in camoflage colors). The card base is cream colored cs with a layer of wallpaper that matches the envelope, then another layer of wallpaper. She then stamped a neat vintage sewing machine onto white cs, rounded the corners and layered that onto green cs and stuck it on top of the card. Very nice! and thank you...I really needed that. =) Tray The Enchanted Stamper ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is where I meet my muse and it feeds me. - Lisa Loeb ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ tracey@rt66.com http://www.rt66.com/~tracey - - ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Mar 1998 08:13:59 -0500 From: "alleycat" Subject: RubberTown: What do you collect besides stamps ...
